The needed of ZVM with a single vCenter server
in: Support Q & A
We have a unique environment in that we have a single vCenter server but two disparate locations. When we initially installed Zerto, we installed a ZVM in each location. However, I noticed the other day that one of the two VMs was powered down. Do we really need two ZVMs with a single vCenter server?

Size of single Disk
in: Support Q & A
Back when we first started with Zerto, there was a size restriction for single disks for replication. Does that still apply? What is the restriction?

question: Remote site to remote site replication
in: Support Q & A
I am being asked by mgmt to see if Zerto can replicate servers from a remote office to another remote office using the ZVM located in the Datacenter. My assumption is that it can not without having another ZVM deployed in one of the remote sites.

Hello all! I have a VPG that lost its recovery datastore settings for the VMs (Advanced VM settings > red outlined box) and it also needs to have the network changed on a few VMs before it will allow me to update the VPG. Turns out that you can’t edit both the datastore info and […]

Since a few days we have the problem that many of our VPGs are in Bitmap Sync and seems to be stuck in this state. Our VRAs already have 4 vCPUs and 8 GB of Memory because of another problem we had. Some VPG States are on “VRA Communication Problem” and some are on “Network […]

ZVM resilience/HA
in: Support Q & A
Once we are doing local protection, lets assume to other SAN, what are the options to make the ZVM resilience as well? In case the main SAN failure, the vcenter will continue to work since it has HA and will have secondary replica over the 2nd SAN. But what about the ZVM? I think that […]

in: Support Q & A
Posting this on behalf of Marcin.W Did a mini-DR test yesterday and one of the VMs turned out to have a problem after the VPG was already committed and we had to recover it from backups. I probably already know the answer but is there a way to somehow keep the checkpoints after doing a […]
