Backup Repository
in: General Discussion
I have created a new repository so I can run some test backups. The repository is a network share running on a Windows 2012 R2 server. I have validated it, however, its star does not go green and when I try to select it in a VPG it is not listed.

Database showing incorrect data
in: General Discussion
I am trying to pull information from the database specifically around bandwidth. We recently moved our DB external, and increased sampling to once per hour. Because of this, I cannot pull resource reports for more than about a week. While running a query directly from SQL, getting average bandwidth and max bandwidth, grouped by SourceSite […]

Failover Clarification
in: General Discussion
Since approval to try this in our environment is not worth asking for … What happens in this scenario? Site1 legitimately goes down. Site1 is unusable for several days, but hardware is all in tact. Site2 brings up servers using Failover, sets to reverse protect, and commits the action. Once Site1 becomes usable […]

API 5.0 update 3 Changes
in: Scripting and APIs
From ZVR 5.0 update 3 release notes users may have seen an update to ZVR API which was a security improvement, which may cause some existing scripts now not to function on ZVR 5.0 update 3. This is down to the accept headers set in the scripts. This is a quick and easy fix, first […]

JBOSS Cluster Supported
in: General Discussion
I know most database-oriented clustering schemes with multiple VMs sharing common storage are incompatible with Zerto, but what about JBOSS clusters, where the separate JBOSS instances can be automatically clustered to improve load performance, but persistent storage is not involved? For reference, here’s the relevant JBOSS documentation: https://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/jboss4guide/r4/html/cluster.chapt.html Thanks!

PowerShell – Getting Started
in: Scripting and APIs
I’ve found several posts/articles/blogs about running your first PowerShell CmdLets, etc. However, I can’t find how you actually install those CmdLets. If I run “add-pssnapin Zerto.PS.Commands”, PowerShell gives an error that “No snap-ins have been registered for Windows PowerShell version 4”. I see the DLL of the same name in the Zerto installation folder, but […]
